I鈥檓 excited to share our Ascent 2029 Strategic Blueprint, marking the next steps in our journey to a thriving future. These plans serve as our guides to elevating EOU鈥檚 mission, enhancing student success, and strengthening our role in the region and beyond. Developed with members of the EOU community, they reflect our unique environment and opportunities and build upon our leadership role as Oregon鈥檚 Rural University and a leader in transformational education.

EOU Mission and Values

EOU鈥檚 Mission and Values provide our 鈥淣orth Star鈥� to steer the direction of our strategic plan and its outcomes. 

Ascent 2029: Strategic Framework  

The Strategic Framework establishes our high-level, overarching intentions, which are brought to life in the Strategies & Goals and Implementation sections. 

Ascent 2029: Strategies & Goals

Our Strategies & Goals create detail around the Strategic Framework in the specific areas of Student Success, Enrollment, University Life, and Financial Sustainability. 

Ascent 2029: Implementation

Implementation is key to putting our work into action. The initiatives developed in our Framework and Strategies & Goals are being embedded in daily operations, and tracked to ensure that the Ascent 2029: Strategic Blueprint remains relevant and responsive to EOU鈥檚 needs and those of our students and region.
