Some courses have prerequisites restrictions to be met prior to registration. In those cases, you may contact the instructor with proof of completing the necessary courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: Can I use financial aid as a non-degree seeking student?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A:<\/strong> No, only admitted, degree-seeking students qualify to receive federal financial aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: Will I be assigned an academic advisor?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A:<\/strong> No, non-degree seeking students are not assigned academic advisors. From any EOU webpage search for Course Schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: When can I register for courses?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A:<\/strong> From pre-registration through the first week of the term, students may register for courses within the <a href=\"https:\/\/experience.elluciancloud.com\/eou\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">student portal, called Mountie Hub<\/a>. See the <a title=\"Registrar's Calendar\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/registrar\/calendar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Registrar&#8217;s calendar<\/a> for registration time frames. During the second through the fourth weeks of the term, students may add classes at the discretion of the instructor, who must provide a signature on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/registrar\/add-drop-withdrawal\/#:~:text=may%20submit%20a-,Registration%20Form%C2%A0,-to%20the%20Registrar%E2%80%99s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Registration Form<\/a>. Thereafter, only the College Dean may approve exceptions. Requests for exceptions may be brought to the Deans only upon instructor&#8217;s prior approval of the request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No class may be added after the end of the regular instructional period under any circumstances. This means that no courses may be added during finals week or after the end of the term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: How do I drop a class?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A:\u00a0<\/strong> A student may drop from a course for any reason with no record on the student&#8217;s transcript before the end of the 4th week of term. If a student is unable to drop through the Mountie Hub, they may submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/registrar\/add-drop-withdrawal\/#:~:text=may%20submit%20a-,Registration%20Form%C2%A0,-to%20the%20Registrar%E2%80%99s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Registration Add\/Drop Form<\/a> to the Registrar&#8217;s Office. Drop fees will be assessed in accordance with the fee policies stated in the EOU Student Financial Services <a title=\"drop\/withdrawal refund schedule\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/student-financial-services\/deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drop\/withdrawal refund schedule<\/a>. If a closed course is not wait-listed, then you need to send an email to the instructor requesting approval to join the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: Where can I find the books for my class?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A:<\/strong> The <a title=\"EOU Bookstore\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bkstr.com\/eoustore\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EOU Bookstore<\/a> will list all required and recommended books for each course. From the <a title=\"EOU Bookstore\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bkstr.com\/eoustore\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EOU Bookstore<\/a> website, click Textbooks, then Find Textbooks and enter your course specific information to shop for your course textbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Q: What if I am seeking dual enrollment with my current institution?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A:&nbsp;<\/strong>Students who are attending another institution, but are interested in taking classes at EOU to transfer out will need to fill out a non-degree seeking application.
